Rachel & Jack were married on Saturday 25th May 2013 at St.George’s Church, Jesmond and had their reception at Jesmond Dene House in glorious sunshine! We had been keeping our fingers crossed for Rachel & Jack to have lovely weather for a while before the big day so we could make the most of the beautiful gardens at Jesmond Dene House.
A new venue for us, we had travelled to Jesmond Dene House a few weeks before the wedding so that we could decide where to take the photographs. We were thrilled to find, not only the gorgeous gardens outside, but also a wealth of photographic opportunities inside too! Such a beautiful venue with so much charm!
On the morning of the wedding, we arrived to find a buzz of activity. Hair was being styled, flowers arriving and champagne corks popping! Rachel, as ever, had a huge smile on her face and was very relaxed and couldn’t wait to get into her stunning dress from Mia Sposa. The time finally came and Rachel looked elegant and beautiful. Everyone had a tear in their eyes! Rachel’s bridesmaid wore a long dress in a pale green colour, from ‘I Do’ Boutique and both girl’s outfits were finished with beautiful bouquets, in fresh spring colours, by 5th Avenue Florists.
Over at the church, guests were arriving, thrilled at the clear, blue skies and Jack was greeting everyone coming across as being very cool and composed! Before long it was time for the service to begin in the beautiful St.George’s church. As well as the vicar at St.George’s, Rachel and Jack had readings from Father Hickey and Reverend Glyn Evans.
After a return to the alter to photograph the newlyweds in front of the magnificent mosaic walls and stained glass window, Rachel and Jack walked out of church to their guests blowing bubbles as they walked through. After a few group shots at the church, the happy couple made their way to Jesmond Dene House in style with ATW Cars.
While guests were arriving, we took the opportunity to take some photographs inside, on the staircase and down the corridors so that when everyone had arrived, Rachel and Jack had plenty of time to chat and enjoy their company. Whilst enjoying a drink in the sunshine, the saxophonist form the Paul James Band provided entertainment and the sun-dappled gardens provided the perfect backdrop for more photographs.
Their reception room looked gorgeous, with table decorations from 5th Avenue Florists and The Event Dressers and we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to use the easily recognisable lamps in the photographs.
Rachel & Jack had a wonderful honeymoon in Las Vegas and Mexico and were so pleased with their photographs. We can’t wait to see which ones they choose for their album.
