A royal romance…

Like the rest of the nation (and indeed world!) we’ve waited in heartfelt anticipation for the announcement that Prince William and long-time girlfriend Kate Middleton will finally tie-the-knot. Well, that time has finally come! To celebrate, we take a look back at the royal romance so far…

A university romance

The pair first met at the University of St Andrews in Scotland in 2001 when they shared a house. Both graduated in 2005; Wills achieving a 2:1 in geography and Kate a 2:1 degree in history of art.

Snapped happily back together in 2008 after their earlier break, Kate accompanied the prince when he was awarded his RAF wings at the College at RAF Cranwell.

In the same year, Kate shared a joke with Prince Harry and the Duchess of Cornwall at William’s investiture into the Order of the Garter at Windsor Castle
